The Bathurst Volunteer Centre started in 1981 with only a handful of people and even less funding.  With what began as a way to help people in need, quickly became one of the top resources for aid to the needy.

Now with a staff of nearly 35 full time employees, the centre has grown to assist thousands of people a year with their basic needs. Whether it is food, meals, clothing or assisting Social Services, the Centre makes it happen.

Managed by Michel Godin and his staff, they have helped so many families in the Chaleur area. The staff offers many different services at the Centre but also includes contracts with Social Development to employ 15 Family Service Counselors and a full staff operating a home for special need children.

Our mission is to provide the best care and service by meeting the basic needs and requirements of families within the Chaleur area.
